When a website, email account or connected system behaves unexpectedly, restoring access is only part of the job. We can investigate available logs, account activity, software, permissions and configuration to help identify how an incident may have happened and what should be changed.
Investigation and evidence review
Our work can include malware and unauthorised-access investigation, reviewing available digital evidence, checking likely entry points, documenting affected services and preparing a clear chronology of the incident.
Technical report writing
Where requested, we provide a plain-English technical incident report setting out the information reviewed, findings, limitations and practical recommendations. Formal expert-witness or specialist forensic reporting requires a separate scope and quotation.
How this work is charged
Because the scope depends on the systems and evidence available, investigation, research and report writing is charged at our standard specialist rate of £100 per hour. Agreed urgent or out-of-hours incident-response work is charged at £150 per hour. We agree an initial scope or spending limit wherever practical before starting.
