Samsung S22 Plus Rear Glass Replacement

Microsmith Electronics in Newport replaced the rear glass panel on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus for a customer who had cracked the back of their phone in a drop.

What Was Wrong

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus features a glass back panel that, while stylish, is just as vulnerable to cracking as the front screen. The customer’s device had a large crack running across the back from corner to corner, with some smaller fragments missing near the camera module.

The Repair

We carefully removed the damaged rear glass and replaced it with a quality replacement panel, taking care not to damage the wireless charging coil or NFC antenna underneath. The camera module was inspected and confirmed undamaged. The repair was completed same day.
